Fabrizio Romano: 'It's over' at Man Utd for 'really, really good' star, he wants to join Premier League rival

Manchester United are getting ready to sell a number of players this summer

Manchester United are looking to offload their unwanted stars as swiftly as possible this summer in order to provide Ruben Amorim with more transfer funds to continue his rebuild at the club.

Deals could total over £150m if the Red Devils can get the desired transfer fees for the players. All of the players, bar Garnacho, spent all or half of last season away from Old Trafford on various loan spells.

Fabrizio Romano gives Alejandro Garnacho update

Romano said: “It's over between Garnacho and Man United. Garnacho will go, he wants to go and Man United want him to go. So they decided to part ways.

“Garnacho will not show up to for training immediately, he can stay away from Carrington for the upcoming weeks to find a solution on the market.

“Let me mention once again as I already told you that the priority of Alejandro Garnacho is to stay in Premier League. He would love to continue in Premier League. So let's see what happens there because Alejandro Garnacho would be very happy to stay in England.

“There was some interest from Bayer Leverkusen, some interest from Italian clubs too but Garnacho is basically waiting and giving priority to English clubs. For sure it's over between him and Man United.”

Chelsea were linked with Garnacho back in January but they have already made a couple of additions to their forward department this summer.

Owen Hargreaves believes Alejandro Garnacho is a good player

Speaking after United’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal back in March, ex-Red Devils midfielder said of Garnacho: “Do you know what? We’ve seen him playing on the left.

“He’s quite effective coming inside, but I actually don’t mind him on the right because he has to pass the ball more. When he plays on the left, he comes inside and he shoots. He created a lot for his teammates.”

He added: “He’s a really, really good player and I really wouldn’t want to see him go. In a way, you’ve got to build around him and Kobbie Mainoo.”
