Chelsea star agrees personal terms with Arsenal

Chelsea will face Brazilian side Fluminense in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup on Tuesday evening.

The Blues defeated Fluminense’s Brazilian rivals Palmeiras in the quarter-finals on Saturday morning, with Cole Palmer netting his first goal of the tournament to put Enzo Maresca’s side ahead.

Youngster Estevao Willian – who is set to join Chelsea – then equalised for Palmeiras, before Mal Gusto forced an own goal to put the Premier League giants in front.

Maresca’s side held on to book a semi-final meeting with Fluminense, which will see former Blues defender Thiago Silva reunited with his former side.

Off the pitch, however, it appears that one of Chelsea’s attackers could soon be on his way to one of their fiercest rivals.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, winger Noni Madueke has reached an agreement on personal terms with London rivals Arsenal.

Romano claims that the England international has already agreed a contract with the Gunners that would last until the end of the 2029/30 campaign, with the North London outfit now set to send their opening offer for the player to Chelsea.

Madueke, 23, joined the Blues from Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven in 2023 and has since played 91 times for his current side across all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing nine assists.

Last season the Englishman featured 45 times for Maresca’s side, and he has also played four times at the Club World Cup so far, but it appears increasingly likely that he could now depart Stamford Bridge.

Madueke’s current contract with Chelsea is set to run until the end of the 2029/30 campaign.

The England international – capped seven times by The Three Lions – primarily operates on the right but can also play on the left flank.
