Josh Sargent has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds United this transfer window.
Daniel Farke is looking to upgrade his attack ahead of the new season, with the US international being considered as an option.
The striker netted 15 Championship goals last season despite struggling with injuries.
Therefore, Leeds are looking to sign Sargent, with talks with his agents being held last month.

This has no doubt caused issues for Farke, with the 49ers not viewing Sargent as a priority.
Now, there is a chance that the Peacocks could lose the race for the 25-year-old’s signature.
According to The Pink Un (5 July), Burnley have now joined Leeds and Wolfsburg in the battle to sign the striker.
Norwich are believed to be looking for £16 million for Sargent this summer, with the Championship outfit in a strong negotiating position.
Wolfsburg are understood to be well under this valuation, with sides in the Serie A also interested in the attacker.

Sargent would be a risk for Leeds
The 49ers are right to be sceptical about signing the striker this summer. Sargent has had an awful injury record in the past two seasons, which has seen him miss out on multiple important games.
On top of this, the 25-year-old had an awful time in the Premier League in the 2021-22 season, where he only netted twice in the division in 26 matches.
Therefore, for £16m, there are multiple better options available in the market that would prove to be less of a risk.

Whoever Leeds bring in as their starting striker has to be right, as it will be their most important signing of the summer if they want to stay in the Premier League.
As it stands, it is hard to see Sargent being the star man to lead the Peacocks to safety in the upcoming campaign.
