The race for Viktor Gyokeres is seemingly over as the Sweden international has a full agreement to join the Premier League.
The in form striker has been at the centre of significant attention from around Europe after another impressive campaign with Sporting CP.
However, a recent breakdown between him and his club over their gentleman’s agreement for him to leave the club has appeared to end his time in Portugal.
Manchester United have been hoping to capitalise on the fallout, with Ruben Amorim hoping to reunite with his former winger.
As such, The Red Devils have been consistently linked for a move since Amorim move to Old Trafford in November.
Ideas of a move have only gained traction due to the dire situation Amorim finds himself in with regards to his failing first-choice striker, Rasmus Hojlund.
However, ideas of Gyokeres replacing Hojlund are seemingly over, with the Swedish star set to face United next season.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Gyökeres has agreed on contract terms to join Arsenal and has informed Sporting of his intentions.
Unfortunately for Amorim and United, Arsenal have a massive advantage by qualifying for Champions League football next season, with The Red Devils missing European competitions for the year.
The formidable striker has also gone as far to say he has no interest in considering any other club, ending any links with Manchester United.
