Graham Potter’s West Ham United have reportedly stepped up their talks to sign 6’3″ Japanese shot-stopper Zion Suzuki from Serie A club Parma this summer.
According to a report from The West Ham Way, Zion Suzuki could be heading to the Premier League this summer as West Ham United are in advanced talks to sign the Japanese international. The Hammers are fully focused on adding more quality to the goalkeeping position, and the Param sensation is a priority target for them.
Suzuki made quite a name for himself while playing for Belgian outfit Sint-Truiden. While multiple top clubs were interested in his signature last summer, the Italian outfit managed to win the race for his signature.
He was a constant feature in the goal for Parma last season. He started in 37 league games and ended up keeping eight clean sheets. While he did let in 53 goals, the 22-year-old did put in some impressive performances, which have put him on the radar of clubs in England.
West Ham are working hard to sign Suzuki
The Japanese goalkeeper still has four years left on his deal at the Italian club, but he could be on the move this summer as West Ham are looking to add him to their squad. With Lukasz Fabianski leaving the club, Graham Potter is looking to add more quality in between the sticks.
