Wolves are waiting on an answer from Nelson Semedo, but it seems that Vitor Pereira is already one step ahead.
The Old Gold will want to replenish their defence this summer, regardless of whether Semedo stays or goes.
Rayan Ait-Nouri’s departure left a significant void at left-wing-back, a vacancy that returning loanee Hugo Bueno will be eager to fill.
As for the right side, Semedo is frustrating fans by prolonging the decision on his future, as he is now officially a free agent, with a contract offer on the table from Wolves.

Jackson Tchatchoua is a perfect Nelson Semedo replacement
Semedo is incredibly important to Wolves, but at 31, the Old Gold can’t rely on him forever.
For that reason, Wolves’ transfer links to Jackson Tchatchoua make perfect sense, as the Cameroonian right-back is closely comparable to Pereira’s skipper.

Tchatchoua, who is valued by Hellas Verona at around £13m, could prove to be the perfect fit for Wolves.
As seen above, the 23-year-old shares an array of positive wing-back traits with Semedo, who he could replace at Molineux.

Premier League competition for Tchatchoua
It’s clear why Wolves are charmed by Tchatchoua, but the problem is, the Old Gold aren’t the only ones seeing the 23-year-old’s development in Italy.
Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb noted that Everton are also showing an interest in the right-back, who also has admirers in Turkey.
Given that Wolves are still waiting for a reply from Semedo, it would be wise to strike quickly for a player so similar to the current club captain.
Only time will tell if Fosun opt to move for the Cameroon international, who has everything it takes to be a sufficient successor to Semedo.
