We're sure it's just because we are stuck in our Newcastle United echo chamber, but we believe that our club are the worst club to follow during a transfer window.
The frustration amongst the fanbase right now is reaching fever pitch as we're almost a week into July, that's three weeks into the second transfer window of the summer, and we've still not got a first-team player through the door.
News came out last week that we were 'close' to signing James Trafford and Anthony Elanga, but since then it has been crickets.
There have been strong rumours suggesting that Newcastle have made an approach for Italy centre-back GiorgioScalvini of Atalanta as Eddie Howe looks to address the lack of depth in defence.

Atalanta do not want to sell Giorgio Scalvini
While those Scalvini rumours have gathered pace over the last couple of days, with Fabrizio Romano jumping on the bandwagon, Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sports Witness) is now saying that those stories hold no merit.
They claim that Atalanta deem Scalvini to be 'unsellable' while saying that there have been 'no negotiations' between Newcastle and Atalanta.
Fabrizio Romano reported 'initial approaches', but he said that after claiming other clubs are in the race too, so he doesn't directly say that Newcastle have made an approach, so there's still a chance that both claims are true at this point.

Newcastle's initial approach has been knocked back by Atalanta
Gazzetta dello Sport's report does say that Newcastle are serious and did make contact, but Atalanta dismissed the approach without opening the door to negotiations. A move we've seen already this summer with Nottingham Forest and Anthony Elanga, but we're still in for him.
The question for Newcastle now is, how hard are they willing to negotiate with Atalanta? They say Scalvini is 'unsellable' but how much can they really resist?
As every media outlet is more than excited to point out when it comes to Alexander Isak, 'everybody has a price'. Although let's be honest, Newcastle aren't going to overpay for anyone, so if Atalanta stands firm, we will just walk away.
We're not giving up hope on this one just yet, but confidence is fading after this news.
