Everton may have been given the keys to sign Lille winger Edon Zhegrova.
The Kosovan winger has impressed in France, and the Toffees aren’t short of competitors for the signing, which is much needed in the final third.
David Moyes’ side has, however, been given hope by Lille’s President, and Everton’s summer plans could now finally have lift off.

Everton ready bargain £17million transfer for Zhegrova
Everton’s focus so far this summer has been extending contracts, with the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite and Michael Keane now secure.
The Blues could now focus on bringing players to Merseyside, with Sheffield United’s Michael Cooper also on Moyes’ radar, as well as final third options.

According to Turkish media outlet Fanatik (5 July), Everton target Zhegrova is unwilling to extend his contract at Lille.
Lille are said to be open to offers for the winger, with the 26-year-old’s contract expiring at the end of next season.
Napoli also hold an interest in the tricky winger whose price tag has been slashed by 33 per cent to £17million this summer.
Zhegrova missed the second half of last season due to a muscle injury, which has influenced Lille’s decision to lower their asking price for the winger.
The Kosovan joined Lille in 2022 and has gone on to become a key player for the French side when he has stayed fit.

Zhegrova has shown that he can adapt
Everton have already lost Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer, and Zhegrova could be key to rebuilding the Blues’ attack, starting out wide.
Zhegrova offers what Everton need as a solid attacking outlet who will provide for any potential striker that Moyes brings in to replace Calvert-Lewin.
Permanent signings like Jack Harrison, who has recently been linked, won’t inspire fans, but tricky Kosovan wingers certainly could.
