The University of Notre Dame has secured the sons of three former NFL stars in what is a major get for the storied football program.
According to ESPN's Eli Lederman, wide receivers Devin Fitzgerald and Kaydon Finley and outside linebacker Thomas Davis Jr. are part of The Fighting Irish's 2026 recruiting class.
Fitzgerald is the son of Arizona Cardinals legend and former wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who is widely expected to be a first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer when he's first eligible in 2026.
Fitzgerald is one of the all-time great receivers to ever play in the NFL after an illustrious career that saw him tally nine 1,000-yard seasons, 11 Pro Bowl nods and three All-Pro selections en route to finishing with the second-most receiving yards in league history (17,492).
Notre Dame's 2026 recruiting class now includes:
WR Devin Fitzgerald, son of Larry Fitzgerald.
OLB Thomas Davis Jr., son of Thomas Davis.
WR Kaydon Finley, son of Jermichael Finley.

Davis Jr. is the son of Carolina Panthers great, linebacker Thomas Davis, who secured three Pro Bowl appearances and a first-team All-Pro nod during his impressive career.
Finley's dad, Jermichael Finley, played in the NFL for six seasons and was once considered one of the better tight ends in the league after topping 600 yards or more three times in a four-year span.
The three sons going to Notre Dame is a departure from where their dads played college ball. Fitzgerald went to Pittsburgh, Davis played at Georgia and Finley went to Texas.
