Ruben Amorim spotted at F1 British Grand Prix as Man United boss watches Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Mercedes team

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is enjoying the final day of his summer before pre-season training begins.

Pre-season training begins at Carrington on Monday, July 7, as the preparations begin for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

Ruben Amorim has set strict pre-season deadlines for his players to hit peak fitness this summer so that Manchester United can hit the ground running when the Premier League season begins against Arsenal.

United’s pre-season tour of the United States begins later this month, with the Red Devils participating in the Premier League Summer Series.

But in the meantime, Amorim is enjoying the last of his free time at Silverstone.

Man United and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s F1 links

It has been over 18 months since Ratcliffe completed his minority takeover of Manchester United, adding to his impressive ownership portfolio.

Ratcliffe has made United the mothership of a wider footballing network including a new partnership with FC Lausanne Sport. Ineos also own a stake in Ligue 1 club Nice.

Alongside his football portfolio, Ratcliffe also has investments in cycling and Formula 1, with a minority share in Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team.

Perhaps Amorim’s trip to the British Grand Prix was to watch Ratcliffe’s team in action at Silverstone. It wouldn’t be the first time that United have collaborated with the F1 team.
