Before diving into the grind of training camp and game plans, Russ hit pause to shine the spotlight on someone who has had his back through every high and low over the last nine years, his wife, the one and only Ciara. And let’s just say, the message he shared on Sunday definitely had people talking.
Wilson took to Instagram to share a heartwarming message on their anniversary along with a video. The caption said, “From the moment I met you, I knew God was showing me the way. Every day since has been a reflection of His grace—full of love, laughter, purpose, and the kind of partnership I used to pray for. Happy Anniversary, my queen @ciara. Russell shared on Instagram Live that he and Ciara first crossed paths at a Wisconsin Badgers basketball game back in March 2015, which led to a dinner date that sealed the deal for him. Fast forward to July 2016, when they tied the knot in a dreamy, private-castle wedding in England. The couple has since welcomed three children into the world and continue to love and support each other through thick and thin.
