Leeds warned off Wolves defender – Daniel Farke told it’s a risky move

Leeds United won the Championship last season to earn promotion to the Premier League. However, the challenge is now building a squad that will be good enough to survive in the top flight of English football in the upcoming campaign.

The Yorkshire giants have already brought in three new players to bolster their options ahead of next season. Lukas Nmecha has joined on a free transfer to add to their attack, and Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw have been roped in to improve their defensive options.

Leeds have a few priorities to sort out before the end of the window. The Whites need another striker, a goalkeeper, an attacking and a left-back as essential signings for next season.

The Whites have been looking at several options for those priority positions, but they have been warned against considering signing a top target in the ongoing transfer window.

Medical expert warns Leeds United against signing Wolves left-back Hugo Bueno

Leeds have been keeping tabs on Wolves star Hugo Bueno as a potential replacement for Junior Firpo, who left the club on a free transfer this summer.

He spent last season on loan at Feyenoord and was impressive, even playing in the Champions League for the Rotterdam outfit.

The Spaniard has four years left on his Wolves contract, and Leeds are considering getting their hands on him.

However, Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury specialist, is unsure about Bueno’s fitness record and pointed out that he suffered three different injuries last season.

“The club may take a closer look at his recent history of muscle injuries, particularly if they’re recurrent or related injuries”, Dr Brar told MOT Leeds News.

“Having three different injury setbacks is alarming, and that is something Leeds will be factoring in.

“So, these things certainly will need to be taken into consideration before any final decision is made.”

Leeds cannot afford another player with a patchy injury record in their squad

Leeds are intending to spend big on several other players in the upcoming weeks, and signing players who are fit and ready to perform in the first team is a priority.

The Whites cannot afford to spend big on a new signing who has a patchy injury record, as they need the new buys to be consistently available next season in the Premier League.

Bueno has shown that he is good enough to play at the top level, but his fitness record last season should be a major red flag for the Whites.
