Manchester United are heading into pre-season training having not sold a single player this transfer window.
A summer overhaul was expected after the disastrous 2024/25 season, but so far, Manchester United are finding it difficult to trim Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Marcus Rashford was heavily criticised by Ruben Amorim last season before eventually leaving to join Aston Villa on loan.
Despite Rashford planning on returning to training at Carrington, a club decision was made that he will not return on Monday when pre-season training begins.
Rashford is one of five players who won’t return to Carrington next week as Ineos continue their efforts to try and find willing buyers.

Marcus Rashford accepts he is not in Ruben Amorim’s plans
Earlier this week, United fans were frustrated at Rashford after reports emerged that he was “ready to give 100%” to the club in pre-season.
Frankly, patience with the 27-year-old has run out and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Rashford has now accepted his time at Old Trafford is over.
🚨 New round of talks will start from next week for Marcus Rashford’s future.

Man United and Barcelona disagree over Marcus Rashford move
Villa agreed to a £40m buy option with Rashford and United have stuck to that figure as the asking price for Rashford this summer.
However, Barcelona have considered Rashford alternatives and would prefer a loan deal for him this summer.
Barcelona have approached United over Rashford, but in order to fund more incomings this summer, Ineos would prefer cash up front this summer.
