Chase Claypool Reveals Encouraging Injury Update

Chase Claypool’s NFL career has been disappointing, to say the least.

Nevertheless, he’s still young and physically gifted, so there’s a chance he can turn things around.

That’s what he will try to do in 2025.

The wide receiver recently shared an encouraging update about his injury recovery and his path back to the field.

> “I tore a ligament and a tendon in my second toe and have been rehabbing, working out, and recovering every day for the past year. I am back to being the strongest and fastest I’ve ever been and couldn’t be more excited to step back out on the field and let my actions speak for themselves. I deeply and truly believe that the pieces will align, and I will work my way into the position to show off what’s been suppressed these last two years,” Claypool [posted](https://www.instagram.com/p/DLqqupNv-P0/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link) on Instagram.

The 26-year-old wants to resume his career after missing the entirety of the 2024 season due to the injury he sustained last August.

He had signed with the Buffalo Bills, but they released him with an injury settlement.

Claypool entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

He was a walking mismatch because of his strong build and physicality, and he now claims to be the strongest and fastest he’s ever been.

Though his physical traits have never been doubted, Claypool’s behavior, demeanor and mindset have at times left plenty to be desired.

He reportedly was often more worried about his individual numbers than team success, and there have been multiple concerns about his work ethic.

Perhaps one year away from the game was just what he needed to get his priorities in order and realize that he might not get another opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream.

In four seasons with the Steelers, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins, Claypool has 175 receptions for 2,261 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns in 58 games (32 starts).
