Newcastle United transfer target Nicolas Kuhn is set to sign for Serie A side Como after a summer of speculation over his future.
The Magpies had been linked with a move for the 25-year-old forward who was available for around £15m.
However, Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that a deal to Cesc Fabregas' Como is now all but done, with the Celtic boss delighted at the business.
Kuhn has caught the eye in Glasgow since signing from Rapid Vienna in January 2024 for just £3m, and scored against Bayern Munich in last season's Champions League, going on to notch 21 goals in total for Celtic.
That led to interest from the Premeir League, with Newcastle said to have taken a look at the German. However Como are now close to announcing a deal, and Rodgers is satisfied with the move.

Speaking after Celtic's 1-0 friendly win over Queen's Park, Rodgers said: "We've virtually agreed between the club and Como, so it looks at this point that he'll be on his way, but we just have to wait for confirmation.
"I think it's very clear, the model of Celtic. In the 18 months, he's done absolutely fantastic for us.
"He was aware of interest towards the end of last season and that sort of followed through.
"Other teams have joined in that interest over the summer and that's why a lot of the young players come. It's a wonderful, brilliant club to come to develop and improve.
"If he does end up going and signing for Como then it's great business all round."
Newcastle are yet to make their first transfer breakthrough of the summer, but are close to completing deals for Nottingham Forest winger Antony Elanga and Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford.
Both are said to be keen on a switch to St James' Park, but negotiations with their respective clubs continue.
The Magpies are also on the hunt for a central defender, while could address their midfield should Sean Longstaff leave, with Everton and Leeds United interested.
