After Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres, Arsenal could actually sign 'dream' Mikel Arteta target amid new…

There is now plenty of transfer activity happening at Arsenal.

The Gunners announced Martin Zubimendi on Sunday, with the Spain international arriving in a £55.8m move from Real Sociedad.

Swiftly after that news broke, Arsenal began to close in on Viktor Gyokeres after finally making a decision on who to choose between the Swede and Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal are also holding talks to sign Noni Madueke from Chelsea – but a different forward, one described as a dream target for Mikel Arteta, could follow Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres first in Rodrygo Goes.

Rodrygo Goes to Arsenal is a genuine possibility

The Brazil international now looks incredibly likely to leave Real Madrid, after once again being left on the bench by Xabi Alonso at the FIFA Club World Cup.

So far in the United States, the South American has only made one start, and was given just four minutes of action last time out against Borussia Dortmund.

Alonso quite clearly prefers Arda Guler, and we feel the Brazilian is now edging closer to leaving, with Arsenal seemingly favourites.

TBR Football understand Rodrygo is a dream target for Arteta, and the Gunners hold a genuine belief that they can strike a £75m deal this summer.

The 24-year-old is believed to want a more prominent role, which he is not getting under Alonso.

Sources add that Arsenal are currently in pole position to sign Rodrygo, and with the FIFA Club World Cup set to end next Sunday, a deal could accelerate once the competition is over.

Andrea Berta shouldn’t even be thinking about Noni Madueke while Rodrygo’s future remains uncertain

As aforesaid, Arsenal are currently trying to sign the Chelsea No.11 – Andrea Berta has even agreed a contract with Madueke as the Italian aims to provide cover for Bukayo Saka.

However, that deal looks likely to cost around £50m, which is only £20m less than Arsenal could sign Rodrygo for.

The Real Madrid No.11 can cover both the left and right flanks, while also being able to operate centrally, so it would be wise of Arsenal to wait until sanctioning an expensive deal for Madueke.
