Nwaneri shares same agent as Chelsea undroppable as Arsenal talks continue

Arsenal agreeing personal terms with Noni Madueke has coincided with speculation surrounding their talks to extend Ethan Nwaneri's contract.

Gabriel Magalhaes and Myles Lewis-Skelly both signed new deals during June. Nwaneri is not the only player the subject of ongoing discussions with the club, though. Negotiations continue with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and William Saliba this summer.

However, of those in talks, Nwaneri and Trossard are the two whose contracts are due to expire at the end of this coming season. The latter recently parted from agent Josy Comhair and signed with German-based DH Sports and Entertainment Group.

The Mirror reports that it was an amicable and mutual decision, with Comhair said to have health problems. They also acknowledge that the agent was leading negotiations over a contract extension.

Nwaneri, meanwhile, is part of Unique Sports Group, the agency that also represents Josh Nichols, who debuted for the first team last season. Chelsea made an enquiry about Nwaneri's availability amid negotiations around Madueke.

USG also act as agents for several other Premier League players.

Among the most notable are Anthony Gordon, Marc Guehi and Reece James. The latter is one of several Chelsea players they represent, including David Datro Fofana and Djordje Petrovic, plus youngsters Harrison Murray-Campbell, Jimmy-Jay Morgan, Leo Cardoso and Shaun Wade.

USG represented Nwaneri last year when the teenager signed his first professional contract. In a post on Instagram acknowledging the deal, their caption read: "Just the beginning. Well done, Ethan."

More recently, they congratulated Nwaneri and another of their clients, Jonathan Rowe, after being part of the England squad that won the European Under-21 Championship. The latter notably left his boyhood club, Norwich City, this summer.

Rowe spent last season on loan at Marseille after they agreed a deal that included an obligation to buy the striker. They are said to have paid £17million, with Norwich retaining a sell-on clause.
