West Ham could be set to get the green light to sign Jadon Sancho this summer.

The Hammers have been linked with a move for the ex-England international after a difficult few years at Manchester United and Chelsea.

It appears that the 25-year-old could be on his way to the London Stadium, especially if a deal is helped by Ruben Amorim and the Red Devils.

An agreement could be reached at Old Trafford in the coming weeks, providing Graham Potter with the perfect chance to land the winger ahead of the new season.

Sancho could cancel Manchester United deal early

The Englishman moved to the Premier League with high expectations after a stunning spell as a youngster with Borussia Dortmund.

It is fair to say that he has failed to live up to those expectations, continuing a generally frustrating run of form back at the Yellow Wall and with Chelsea last campaign.

This could open the door for the West Ham to hand Sancho a platform to find his feet after a number of frustrating campaigns.

Former Brentford and Leicester City manager Martin Allen believes his deal could be cut short at Man United to allow the Irons to make a move.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “I think he’s a talented player but needs a couple of good seasons in the Premier League to prove himself.

“He’s earned a shedload of money but hasn’t covered himself in glory with his performances.

“He’s moved around a lot, so it might be the time where he looks to get his head down.

“West Ham won’t pay him what he’s on at Manchester United or Chelsea, but United may pay him to leave his contract early. That will give West Ham a better negotiating position for a contract.

“They could give him a two-year deal with that money, so with a total package over the next few years, he’ll be earning more than what he’s on right now.

“*You’d hope that he’d have the ambition and drive to think that he’s got enough money now to show what he can do on the pitch.*“

West Ham to agree Sancho deal after Chelsea snub

With the World Cup coming up at the end of the season, there will be a desire to be in the thinking of Thomas Tuchel in the coming months.

This could prove to be the perfect opportunity to bring in Sancho as he looks to revive his career in the Premier League and on the international stage.

As a result, bringing him in to feature alongside the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville for the Hammers could be an excellent move.
