Eagles Set To Make Major Announcement on Super Bowl Ring Ceremony Date

The Philadelphia Eagles’ long-awaited Super Bowl LIX championship ring ceremony finally has a new date, as the team will receive their rings on July 18 — just days before training camp begins.

The ceremony was originally scheduled for June 6, following the team’s voluntary organized team activities. However, multiple outlets confirmed the event was postponed due to production issues with the jeweler, leaving players and staff waiting longer to officially commemorate their dominant 40–22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

CBS Sports NFL insider Jeff Kerr confirmed in a post on X that the Eagles will receive their Super Bowl 59 rings on July 18; we can assume that an announcement from the team is forthcoming.

The timing places the celebration just before the team opens training camp in late July, creating an emotional and symbolic bridge from last year’s title run to the start of their defense.

The reason for the delay came down to the commissioned jewelers needing more time to finish the rings, according to a source familiar with the process. This marks only the second time in franchise history that the Eagles will distribute Super Bowl rings, following their 2018 ceremony after defeating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

The Eagles were fitted for their rings shortly after their February triumph, with placeholder models used to ensure proper sizing. The jewelers reportedly requested additional time to perfect the final design, with each ring set to feature personalized elements unique to the individual players.

While the official design remains under wraps, fans got a brief look during a team video showing players being fitted. The base ring model appears to be made from platinum or white gold, featuring two rows of diamonds — possibly forming the outline of two Lombardi trophies.

Rather than serving as a distraction, the July 18 ceremony could provide a timely burst of motivation as the Eagles prepare to chase another championship. The timing allows the organization to close the chapter on their Super Bowl LIX run while shifting focus directly to the challenge of repeating.

The ceremony will be a private team event, closed to the public, though local outlets and sports networks are expected to provide media coverage.
