Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has given a fresh update on his future amid mounting speculation that he could leave Anfield this summer.
The Colombian was asked whether he would be staying with the Reds, and he confirmed that he has held more conversations with the Merseyside club’s hierarchy:
“It’s not known yet, we’re talking with the board. We’re comfortable with where I am, and we’ll have to see.”

Diaz didn’t unequivocally commit his future to Liverpool, though, which suggests he is keeping his options open as to whether he will stay or move teams.
The 28-year-old has less than two years left on his contract. He is keen on signing an extension but the salary on offer is not to his liking.
Barcelona are expected to reignite their interest in Diaz
After Nico Williams announced that he would stay at Athletic Bilbao and sign a contract extension, Barca are set to renew their attempts to buy the Reds’ forward.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a fresh approach from the La Liga side is expected, with their sporting director Deco said to be a big fan of Diaz.
The main stumbling block will be the asking price. The Catalan club are hoping to do a deal for a fee in the region of €60m (£51m), while the Premier League champions want in excess of £70m.
Saudi Pro League teams and Bayern Munich are also interested in Diaz, but up until now, enquiries for the player have been rebuffed. Based on Diaz’s remarks, the matter is not closed and there is likely to be more twists and turns in this story before the end of the transfer window.
