Cade Klubnik, QB, Clemson All-22 Film Review: Best Passer in the Nation?

Featured Editorials

Dylan Tereman gets back in the film room with another all-22 review, as he continues breaking down the 2026 NFL Draft class and its potential prospects. Today he is discussing another quarterback who plays in the state of South Carolina – Clemson’s Cade Klubnik – as he enters his senior season for Dabo Swinney and the Tigers. If you missed his breakdown on South Carolina’s LaNorris Seller, click here.

Klubnik is a former 5-star recruit from Austin, Texas, who has two seasons as a collegiate starter already under his belt, playing in 27 games since 2023. Last season, he threw for 3,639 yards while completing 63.4% of his passes, for an astounding 36 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions. He also added 463 yards and 7 scores as a rusher. Since offensive coordinator Garrett Riley (younger brother of Lincoln Riley) took over the job in 2023, Klubnik has thrown for 6,483 yards with a 55/15 TD:INT ratio.

After watching three games from Klubnik’s 2024 season, it’s clear that he possesses the pocket presence to be successful at the NFL level. His drop back footwork and mechanics when throwing are already top of the class, and continuing to throw with anticipation will only further his chances of being the top quarterback selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. Although he doesn’t have high-level arm strength, his timing and accuracy more than makes up for it as he is able to make throws at all levels of the field.
