LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Josh Minkins has returned to Louisville and has a special day named after him in his honor.
Minkins hosted his fourth annual skills and drills camp for free at the Lynn Family Sports Vision & Training Clinic on Saturday.
While hosting the camp, the new safety for the New England Patriots was honored by Mayor Craig Greenberg by naming the day “Josh Minkins Day.”
Minkins, who wears the number five, now has July 5th officially recognizing his accomplishments as a Cardinal and NFL player.
“That was a blessing,” said Minkins. “To see all of my friends and family here, it means everything to me to come back to my city and do this.”
Minkins was assisted in coach by other NFL and college players, including his brother and current Cardinal Jaden Minkins, as well as New Orleans Saints cornerback Quincy Riley.
