Divin Mubama has signed for Stoke City.

Derby County have made a positive start to the transfer window, with four new faces bolstering John Eustace’s squad.

Forwards Carlton Morris and Andi Weimann have been joined by centre back Danny Batth and experienced goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell as

However, as the old maxim says ‘if you’re standing still you’re going backwards’ so it is in the Championship where many of rivals have been making their own progress.

Here’s a round-up of the latest transfers that have happened in the Championship.

Birmingham City

Birmingham City’s big spending recruitment has continued in earnest with the arrival of former Celtic forward Kyogo Furuhashi from French top-flight side Rennes for an undisclosed fee.

Blues have secured the Japan international on a three-year deal following their return to the Championship as League One champions.

Furuhashi scored 85 goals in 165 appearances during his time at Celtic and was the Scottish Premiership’s leading scorer in the 2022-23 season with 27 goals.

He then joined Rennes in January for £10m but is back in Britain just six months later with Chris Davies’ newly-promoted side, despite being heavily linked with a return to Celtic.

Charlton Athletic

Charlton Athletic boss Nathan Jones has returned to his former club Luton Town to sign defender Amari’i Bell – a player he previously took to Kenilworth Road.

The 31-year-old left the Hatters at the end of his deal this summer and has moved on a free transfer, agreeing a two-year contract with the newly promoted Addicks.

The Jamaica international joined Luton in 2021 and helped the club win promotion to the Premier League two years later. He played 21 games in the top flight before Luton were relegated a year ago, and was a regular in the side that dropped to League One last season.

Bell has won 28 caps for Jamaica and scored against Panama in their Concacaf Gold Cup match last month.

“Amari’i’s someone I know well. I signed him at Luton and he did fantastically well for me,” Jones told the club website.

Ipswich Town

Kieran McKenna has tied down Ipswich Town striker George Hirst for another four years after the player has signed a new contract at the club.

Hirst, 26, has made 81 appearances and scored 19 goals since he joined on loan from Leicester City in January 2023, before making the move permanent six months later.

He played a part in the club’s back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League, and made his international debut for Scotland in March.

“I’ve enjoyed every single day at the club since joining, and am really pleased to have signed a new deal,” Hirst told the club website.

Preston North End

Preston have agreed a four-year deal for Brighton’s Odel Offiah, the fee is undisclosed but has been reported as ‘seven-figure’.

The defender was on loan with Blackpool last season, where he made 40 League One appearances and scored once.

Offiah, who can play at right-back and centre-back, came through at Brighton and has made six Premier League appearances.

The 22-year-old told the club website: “Speaking to the gaffer [Paul Heckingbottom], I think we saw eye to eye in terms of how I want to develop as a footballer - this is definitely the right place for me.

Preston have also signed Daniel Iversen, Thierry Small, Jordan Thompson and Pol Valentin.

Stoke City

The Potters made two moves in one day when they signed Plymouth defender Maksym Talovierov and striker Divin Mubama on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

Talovierov has signed a three-year deal and the pair join Sorba Thomas as new signings in the summer transfer window.

Talovierov has signed for an undisclosed fee after just six-months at Argyle where he became a firm favourite following his move from LASK.

Former West Ham trainee Mubama arrives off the back of a debut season at City in which he netted his first senior goal for the club in a 8-0 romp against Salford in the FA Cup.

Swansea City

The Swans have signed Ethan Galbraith from Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee.

The Northern Ireland midfielder has agreed a three-year deal with the option of a further season.

The BBC claim Swansea have been long-time admirers of former Manchester United youngster, having first attempted to sign him during the January transfer window.

“Ethan is hungry and motivated for the challenge of stepping up to the Championship,” Swansea head coach Alan Sheehan said.

Galbraith follows defenders Cameron Burgess and Ricardo Santos, winger Zeidane Inoussa and forward Bobby Wales in signing for Swansea this summer.
