Mohammed Kudus is set to leave West Ham this summer, but the transfer saga developing over his future is a frustrating one.

Kudus disappointed last season after an outstanding first year in East London, and has attracted a lot of interest from the club’s city rivals.

West Ham are ready to sell the forward in order to boost their finances, after missing out on European football for the second season in a row.

However, Kudus is now keen on a move to Tottenham, and the Hammers may be forced into selling to one of their biggest rivals.

West Ham frustrated with Tottenham over Kudus

Kudus is reportedly only willing to move to Tottenham despite interest from Chelsea and Arsenal, and talks are underway with the Lilywhites.

MORE WEST HAM STORIES

The Ghanaian has put West Ham in a difficult position as a result, as they are now negotiating from a position of weakness with a club with whom they have rarely done business in recent years.

There is a funny side though, as GIVEMESPORT (July 6) have now reported that West Ham are unhappy with the structure of the fee proposed by Tottenham, as it includes trophy-based bonuses.

West Ham have reportedly responded to Tottenham by claiming that bonuses which activate if Kudus wins the Premier League or Champions League with them, are too unrealistic to consider.

West Ham should not be bullied over Kudus exit

Tottenham and Kudus are both pushing for a move, and they are clearly trying to force West Ham into accepting a lower offer than they would have originally anticipated.

However, West Ham cannot show any signs of weakness as they attempt to negotiate with Spurs, given the animosity the two fanbases have towards each other.

West Ham fans will be annoyed that Kudus is refusing to negotiate a deal elsewhere, given the preference would have been to sell him to Chelsea, and the club will have to show that they are receiving as much money as possible in order to justify a sale to their bitter rivals.

Kudus scored 19 goals in two seasons for West Ham, and they will need to replace him once he does depart.
