Nottingham Forest are hoping to sign some new players before the season starts, with the players set to report back for pre-season training today.
Some players might now be back today. Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White, Elliot Anderson and Ibrahim Sangare could be among those to get an extended break after heading off on international duty once the season had finished.
Igor Jesus is the one Forest signing to check in so far and today should be the day when he gets put through his paces for the first time as a Premier League player.
Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will want reinforcements all over the park ahead of next season, with the UEFA Conference League on the horizon and in the next few weeks, things will crank up somewhat.

Nottingham Forest linked Douglas Luiz wanted by Manchester United
According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus have informed Luiz that he will be allowed to leave this summer and that should be music to the ears of Forest.
However, other clubs are circling, with Fulham and Everton both showing some interest in the player who only departed Aston Villa 12 months ago.
Manchester United are now the latest club to come forward and show interest, with Juventus willing to offer Luiz in a possible deal to try and take Jadon Sancho to Turin.
It’s not the first time that United have been mentioned in the mix to sign Luiz and although Europe isn’t on the table for the Red Devils next year, they’re still showing ambition with their signings.

Luiz would be a quality signing for Forest
Jermaine Pennant claimed back in 2023 that Luiz is better than Declan Rice and although the Arsenal man has kicked on since that comment, it’s fair to say that Villa missed Luiz last season.
In truth, the Villans didn’t really want to sell him, but the club needed to do some PSR gymnastics pretty quickly to make sure they met the criteria for the latest cycle.
Forest are right to place themselves in the mix to sign Luiz. With reservations over Sangare’s ability to adapt to the Premier League, he could be the new number six that the Reds are craving.
Still, with a clutch of Premier League clubs in the mix, it will be tough to pull off and given that a fee of just £25 million is being touted as the price tag, Forest might not find themselves at the front of the queue.
