Gabriel Gudmundsson could be next through the door at Leeds United.
The West Yorkshire club’s transfer window is underway as they prepare for their Premier League return.
Leeds are hoping to equip Daniel Farke with a squad ready to compete in England’s top division, with several signings already confirmed at Elland Road.
Jaka Bijol, Sebastian Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha have signed for the Championship winners so far, with more expected to follow.
Lille may have just given Gudmundsson the green light to be next.

Gudmundsson arrives in England
Leeds are in desperate need of a left-back, following the departure of Junior Firpo.
The Spaniard left the club following the expiration of his contract, ending a four-year stay at the Whites after signing from Barcelona in 2021.
Leeds had attempted to retain the full-back, but Firpo is thought to be set on a return to his former club Real Betis.
Daniel Farke does have options who can play on the left side of defence, but the German is looking for a new first-choice.

Gudmundsson was a reliable option for Lille last season
And Leeds look to have landed on Swedish defender Gudmundsson, with a deal thought to be close with Ligue 1 club Lille.
According to the Yorkshire Post (page 21, July 7), the 26-year-old has already touched down in England ahead of further talks with the Premier League club.
Gudmundsson has been a regular for Lille since his move from Groningen in 2021, making 45 appearances in all competitions last season.
The defender has one year remaining on his contract, leading Leeds to believe that a cut-price deal could be possible.

Leeds are making smart signings
Leeds’ signings so far will not have got many fans off their seats.
All three players, and Gudmundsson, should he complete his move, are smart and efficient options to bolster and build Farke’s squad.
The brutality of the Premier League will see Leeds need a full range of options within their squad next season, with injuries and downturns in form almost a given.
There will be time for the more eye-catching arrivals at Elland Road over the coming weeks, but for now, Leeds are focused on preparing their squad to take on the almighty challenge of England’s top flight.
