Liverpool have been rocked by the tragic passing away of Diogo Jota, and the entire football community is struggling to come to terms with the sad news.
In times like these, football operations take a backseat, as the Reds are doing everything they can to stand by the side of Jota’s bereaved family.
However, life will move on, and Liverpool will eventually have to return to business. Their first task could be to tackle Luis Diaz’s situation.

The Liverpool winger has become a key player under Arne Slot, but the club has not extended his contract, which expires in 2027.
Catalan giants Barcelona are heavily interested in signing him after they failed to land Nico Williams. According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Diaz has given the green light for a move to Barcelona.
Diaz could be facing an uncertain future at Anfield following the record-signing arrival of Florian Wirtz. Liverpool have already rejected an advance from Bayern and they have made it clear that the player is not for sale.
Christian Falk first reported last monththat Bayern were interested in the 28-year-old winger, and Florian Plettenberg subsequently added that the German giants had gathered information about Diaz.
Falk has now exclusively confirmed to CFBayern Insider that Bayern have made Diaz their number-one target this summer.
Will Luis Diaz be a good signing for Bayern Munich?
The Colombian has scored 41 goals in 148 games for Liverpool, including 17 goals in all competitions last season, and he scored a ‘sensational’ goal against Argentina in June.
There is no doubt that Diaz has great technical abilities, and he would make Bayern a stronger team. He can play on the left and right, and can also operate as a striker. The winger has got pace and mazy skills, and he still has a few good years left in him.
Will Liverpool sell him this summer, especially after Jota’s tragic demise? They could ask for a ridiculous amount of money and make life difficult for any potential suitors.
