Arsenal are bracing themselves for a big summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta sets his sights on bolstering his squad.

The Gunners have secured the Premier League's runner-up spot for three consecutive seasons, and they're now hungrier than ever to claim the top spot next term. The north London outfit has already brought in a backup goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and a fresh midfielder, Martin Zubimendi, but numerous other signings are anticipated before the transfer window slams shut on September 1.

Meanwhile, several players have parted ways with the club, including Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos, who've made their loan deals permanent, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who's agreed to terminate his contract a year early.

Martin Zubimendi has finally sealed his move to Arsenal, with the Gunners shelling out a little more than his £51m release clause, reports the Mirror.

The midfielder has cost Arsenal £55m, a fee that secures more favourable payment terms, and he's penned a five-year deal running until 2030. "This is a huge moment in my career," the Spanish international exclaimed.

"It's the move I was looking for and one I wanted to make. As soon as you set foot here, you realise how big this club and this team are. I set my sights on Arsenal because their style of play is a good fit for me. They have shown their potential recently and the best is yet to come."

Gyokeres edges closer to move Arsenal are nearing a breakthrough in their negotiations for Viktor Gyokeres after making significant progress in talks with Sporting Lisbon.

While a transfer fee has yet to be finalised, Gyokeres has already hammered out personal terms with the Gunners and expressed his desire to join the Emirates ranks this summer.

Sporting are pushing for a £70m deal, with a minimum of £60m paid upfront, and Arsenal are reportedly working diligently to strike a deal with the Portuguese titleholders.

Noni Madueke agrees personal terms

Arsenal's pursuit of Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has been handed a massive boost, with reports suggesting they've agreed personal terms with the player, as per the Athletic.

However, it's claimed that formal talks between Arsenal and Chelsea have yet to commence, as the Gunners weigh up other wide-player options.

When quizzed about Madueke's future, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca stated: "My message to the players and to the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us.

"The ones that are not happy, they are free to go. It's not for Noni, it's for all the players we have. But again, Noni has been very good during the season and very good tonight."
