West Ham could be set for another difficult season.
Graham Potter could not turn around the poor form that got Julen Lopetegui sacked halfway through the Premier League campaign.
As a result, the Hammers finished in 14th position in the Premier League and need to get significant business done in the transfer market if they are to improve.

West Ham to be in the relegation battle
West Ham were touted for relegation next season by talkSPORT host Rory Jennings as he made his predictions for the 2025/26 campaign.
Iconic commentator Ian Darke believes that the Hammers could genuinely be relegation candidates if Potter cannot turn the tide.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, he said: “You have to say on last season’s form, yeah, I think anyone who finished in the bottom six will need to improve.
“There is quite a lot of pressure on Graham Potter now, he has had his honeymoon period, and there was no discernible improvement really in the way that the club was playing moving over from Lopetegui to him.
“In these first two months of the season, people will want to see West Ham United be more like the team they were when they were challenging for Europe under David Moyes.
“So, I think in those early fixtures, West Ham have got to shake off that lethargy that surrounded them last season.
“You certainly cannot be complacent and start relying on the fact that the three promoted clubs are going to go down anyway; their ambitions are much, much higher than that.
“They have to be, you know, they are getting 60,000 people in the London Stadium, it is a biggish, well-supported club and I think last season was a terrible disappointment for the fans.”

Potter needs to be backed by West Ham
If the Irons are to avoid being in a relegation battle, David Sullivan and Co. need to give Potter funds to strengthen his squad.
They were poor at both ends of the pitch last season and need to significantly upgrade in several positions if they are to bring excitement back to the London Stadium.
If they fail to do so, it could be a very miserable campaign for the E20 outfit.
