Hammers juggling act for replacement as Kudus transfer draws closer

WHETHER or not the rumoured [Saudi Arabia](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-transfers-saudi-giants-set-to-hijack-spurs-kudus-deal/) offer arrives to rescue West Ham from their worst nightmare of having to deal with arch rivals Tottenham, it is fairly certain Mohammed Kudus will be on his way out of London Stadium this summer. The Ghanaian will of course be missed- his magical first season produced some breath taking moments but I don’t think he’s ever bonded 100% with the Hammers’ fans so there probably won’t be any tears shed on his departure.

West Ham’s challenge is to bring in his successor, pay down any PSR issues and secure the signings required for Graham Potter’s rebuild: A tall order for sixty something million. They could easily use double that amount so a Saudi intervention would be mighty tempting for David Sullivan.

The links with undoubtedly talented ‘Kudus replacement-designate’ Omari Hutchison are curious. [_Footballinsider247.com_](https://www.footballinsider247.com/omari-hutchinson-to-west-ham-transfer-expert-reacts-after-what-ive-heard/) and others report that the England u21 goal-scoring trophy winner would love a return to the Premier League (duh) and _“Omari Hutchinson is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs including both West Ham and Everton this summer.”_

With a ridiculous £35 million release clause in his Ipswich contract Hutchison won’t be coming to West Ham any time soon if that is the price- the Irons can get better value in Europe for tried, tested and ready to rock strikers such as **Evann Guessand** and have £10 million to spare. Trouble is they’d better act quick.

Hutchison is a great talent for the future but like so many players being touted around from that u21 trophy-winning squad, over hyped and over priced for the time being: In six months time they’ll likely all have magically dropped in price by about 50% so now might not be the best time to invest in young homegrown talent !
