Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi favours a move to Manchester United over Everton and other clubs this summer.
That’s according to former Nigeria international, Julius Aghahowa, and he mentioned this during a chat with [Africa Foot](https://africafoot.com/julius-aghahowa-ndidi-espere-rejoindre-manchester-united/). The outlet says the former striker is a close friend of the Leicester City player.
Recent claims have linked the 28-year-old with Manchester United and Everton.
Earlier this month, a report from the UK stated that he wants to leave Leicester, after their relegation to the Championship. There was also a mention of a £9m release clause.
Africa Foot states Manchester United, Everton, Real Betis, Fenerbahçe and Al-Ahli are all said to be in the mix to sign the Nigerian midfielder in this window.
Aghahowa and Ndidi have never played together for the national team or at any club. The former seems to know about Everton and Al-Ahli interest, but says his compatriot hopes to join Manchester United.
_“While Everton and Al-Ahli’s interest is obvious, Ndidi hopes to join Manchester United. He wants to take a step up by signing for a big club like Manchester United,”_ he said.
_“It would be an excellent move for someone I consider one of the best African central midfielders of recent years. He’s powerful, capable of pressing, winning back balls, and creating space with his long diagonal runs.”_
The 43-year-old explains why Ruben Amorim would need a player like Ndidi in his squad.
_“Wilfred is the player the Red Devils need in midfield. He’s surprisingly generous and capable of repeating efforts and covering a lot of space. He would be a considerable asset to the Manchester club if the transfer were to go through,”_ Aghahowa explained.
It seems like Ndidi’s friend is trying to create hype around him after the recent claims linking the player to Manchester United and Everton.
