Jose Mourinho might now inadvertently help Chelsea secure some of the funds they need to raise after UEFA’s recent sanction on the club.
Chelsea were hit with a record-breaking fine of £27m by UEFA last week for breaching financial rules.
And now according to The Times, Chelsea will need to raise more than £60m in sales to ensure that new signings can be registered to play in UEFA competitions next term.
Fortunately, Arsenal are interested in signing Noni Madueke from Chelsea right now, a winger who Enzo Maresca is somewhat ready to sell.
And in an unexpected turn of events, former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho might actually help push through Madueke’s move to north London.
Jose Mourinho wants to sign Leandro Trossard from Arsenal
This summer, Arsenal are keen to recruit a new winger to improve the squad depth available to Mikel Arteta.
And despite considering themselves low on numbers, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the Gunners wouldn’t entertain offers for Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard — it’s a fluid situation.
That being said, The Turkish Post are now reporting that Mourinho’s side Fenerbahce are now seriously keen to sign Trossard this summer.

Fenerbahce are ready to pay £13m to sign Trossard, who has one-year left on his contract, and the Turkish side have their own three-year deal ready to go.
And given that Trossard is yet to agree a new contract with the club and will turn 31 this winter, those terms might be acceptable from an Arsenal point of view.
Moreover, if Mourinho does sign Trossard from Arsenal, that might lead the Gunners to step up their interest in Madueke, who is keen on a move to north London.
Arsenal’s Noni Madueke interest can solve Chelsea’s UEFA conundrum
Chelsea want £50m for Noni Madueke this summer, a 23-year-old England international who is showing a lot of potential.
And whilst Arteta’s side might not quite be prepared to pay Chelsea’s full ask, they must be willing to pay a substantial fee, otherwise there would be little point in Arsenal agreeing personal terms with Madueke.

Therefore, the money Arsenal could potentially raise from selling Trossard could be put straight into a deal for Madueke in theory.
Despite no longer operating in England, Mourinho might still be able to help his old side inadvertently if he does take Trossard to Fenerbahce.
And in truth, were all of the above to happen, one would imagine that all parties involved would be pretty content.
Chelsea need to sell, Arsenal want Madueke, and Trossard is a player the Gunners would be prepared to lose for the right price.
And given that the Gunners have a significant transfer budget this summer, Arsenal might still be able to fund a move for Rodrygo to arrive from Real Madrid thereafter.
