Wolves are seeking to bolster their pool of midfield options this summer.
Wanderers sanctioned the loan exit of Tommy Doyle to Birmingham City last week, and there is potential for Boubacar Traore to also head out on loan somewhere for 2025/26.
That would leave just four players available to Vitor Pereira:
Joao Gomes
Andre
Jean-Ricner Bellegarde
Marshall Munetsi
So there may well end up being scope to sign a new midfielder.
And recently, it was suggested that Andreas Pereira was a player Wolves had eyes on.
Wolves are said to be admirers of Pereira, who has been at Fulham since the summer of 2022 after leaving Manchester United.
Wolves have several Brazilian players on the books at the moment and plenty of Portuguese speakers, so perhaps there would be a lure there for Pereira to make a move to Molineux.
But the player does have one key desire – and it could put Wolves out of the running to sign him.

Pereira may well be a player that Wolves admire.
And some Wolves fans reacted positively to the Andreas Pereira links.
But journalist Jorge Nicola said at the weekend that Pereira is looking to join a club that is fighting for titles.
He said in a video on his YouTube channel: “I consulted the player’s staff who said that Pereira is willing to leave Fulham, but would like to stay in Europe, for a club that competes for titles.
“He knows that it is very difficult for Fulham to compete for any titles next season.
“Given this scenario, if an offer comes up from a bigger club in Europe, Pereira will fight to be traded.”
Nicola had been speaking about Palmeiras’ interest in Pereira. The Brazilian club could lose Richard Rios, who is actually a player Wolves have looked at previously.
Andreas Pereira transfer will be difficult for Wolves
Wolves may admire Pereira, who signed for Fulham for around £10 million (Sky Sports), but any move for the player will seemingly be very difficult.
If Pereira feels like he will struggle to compete for silverware with Fulham, then he is probably not going to push for a move to Wolves.

Wolves finished 12 points behind Fulham in the Premier League table last term and did not threaten in the cups.
He would also likely not start games regularly at Molineux, with Andre and Joao Gomes two of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
