CLEVELAND, Ohio – Auditions are open for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ dance, cheer and drum-performance teams.
The team is holding auditions for the Scream Team, Wine and Goldies and 216STIX. All perform during breaks at Cavs games at Rocket Arena.
All candidates must be at least 18. Here are the details:
Scream Team
The Scream Team pumps up the crowd with high-octane, street-style hip-hop routines, breakdance stunts and head spins. Aspiring members will be evaluated on their dynamic presence, technical dance skills and professionalism. Info:
Round 1: Video submissions are due by Thursday, July 10.
Round 2: Final audition will be in person by invitation.
An online form is available for applicants.
The Wine and Goldies
The energetic dance crew is composed of senior citizens who still have the moves. No previous professional dance experience is required. The squad practices once a week and will perform at approximately eight Cavs games during the 2025-26 season. Info: Required registration closes at noon Thursday, Aug. 21, or earlier if all spots are filled. Auditions are 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the arena (enter through Cleveland-Cliffs entrance). Go to nba.com/cavaliers/entertainment/wineandgoldies.
216STIX
The rhythm-pounding drumline uses buckets, trash cans and anything that can help keep the beat. The group is open to anyone - seasoned percussionists or just someone who loves making music with whatever’s at hand. A talented group, but wouldn’t it be more aptly named as TwoOneStix? Info: 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at the arena (enter through Cleveland-Cliffs entrance). Go to nba.com/cavaliers/entertainment/216stix.
