Manager finally picks new club after snubbing Leeds and Rangers, The 49ers failed twice - Romano

Leeds United seem happy with Daniel Farke moving forward, but there was a time his future looked uncertain.

Farke did an excellent job in getting Leeds back to the Premier League, as the 49ers can now carry out their exciting plans.

Paraag Marathe admires Farke’s belief, which is a needed tool in the top flight as the Whites gear up for a relegation battle.

The German will hope to be the man to do this, but he’ll be wary after Farke was almost sacked.

With this possibility potentially creeping up again in the future, one target the owners looked at before will not be a candidate.

Former Leeds United manager target Davide Ancelotti finds new club

With there being an array of options available at the time to replace Farke, the owners certainly took a risk.

Of course, keeping Farke was the right decision, but come December time when Leeds could be in trouble, the same options might not be around.

One that certainly won’t is Carlo Ancelotti’s son, Davide, as Leeds were keen on Ancelotti.

It was clear that the 35-year-old could have been the perfect successor if Farke was sacked, as the Italian has no doubt learnt everything from his dad.

Ancelotti was on Leeds’ shortlist, but now he’s off-limits for any future scenario as Brazilian side Botafogo have snatched the promising coach.

49ers failed to hire Ancelotti for both Leeds and Rangers

Although the owners are finally proving their worth with player signings, there could be concern raised if Farke’s tenure at Elland Road doesn’t work out.

It’s been made clear that the owners and manager have been working very closely, as Farke will control Leeds’ transfer strategies.

This has been seen through the early deals made from the Bundesliga, as Sebastiaan Bornauw’s arrival will have certainly been mostly impacted by Farke.

The trend of this could continue along the line if different managers are appointed, and it seems that Ancelotti is someone the 49ers very much like.

Not only did they try to sign him for Leeds, but Ancelotti was also wanted by Rangers, but the 49ers failed on both fronts.

It will be interesting to see the developments of both situations, as the owners might come to regret not choosing the Italian.
