Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NBA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-inHouston Rockets fans and fans across the country.Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
We’re back with the answer to last week’s question. We asked you to grade the Kevin Durant deal for the Rockets. The final terms were the Rockets gave up Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft that became Khaman Maluach along with five future second round picks. When the final terms of the seven-team deal were released yesterday, the Rockets also gave up two-way player David Roddy.
So what were the final results of the fan grades? Here you go:
As you can see, 90 percent of readers gave the trade an A or a B, with 66 percent scoring an A. I voted for a B, though if we could get more accurate, I would’ve said B- for my final grade. We’ve been over this ad nauseum: I’m glad Houston GM Rafael Stone didn’t give up much of the Rockets’ future in this deal, but I’m not convinced KD is that guy at this point in his career. I’m more than happy to be wrong.
Also, make sure you drop by FanDuel to check out the early NBA odds. You can now bet on the 2026 NBA Finals, where the Rockets currently have the fourth-best odds in the NBA (+850), and you can also bet on the NBA awards, where Amen Thompson has the fourth-best odds for NBA Defensive Player of the Year. You can even bet on NBA Summer League. If you follow this link, you’ll be helping us out at TDS as well!
Thanks for voting! We’ll be back soon with the results.
