Manchester United are looking to finally make their first major sale of the summer as Jadon Sancho closes in on a move to Juventus.

The Old Lady are keen to sign their long-term target after wanting to take Sancho on loan last summer, however missed out to Chelsea.

Sancho spent all of last season at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea holding an obligation to buy for £25 million.

Unfortunately, The Blues couldn’t come to an agreement over Sancho’s wages, instead paying United a £5 million penalty to send the winger back to Old Trafford.

With Sancho’s United career already over, a move away this summer was inevitable, with Juve seemingly front-runners for his signature.

Sancho has already declared his preference to join the Serie A side, prioritising Juventus over Turkish side Fenerbahce.

Now, United and Juve are in talks to get a club-to-club agreement over the line, allowing the Italian side to focus on negotiations with the player.

Corriere dello Sport has reported that the fee United are wanting for Sancho stands at £26 million (€30 million), with a fixed fee already agreed between the clubs at £21.5 million (€25 million).

As such, the two clubs are looking to include a series of bonuses to bridge the gap between the fixed fee offered by Juve and the valuation The Red Devils are holding out for.

It’s also understood the clubs are negotiating a payment structure to spread the cost of the purchase out as United have done for Matheus Cunha.

After these negotiations are agreed, all focus will turn to Jadon Sancho to bridge the gap with his wage demands.

It’s understood that at the moment there’s a £2 million gap between Sancho’s salary demands and Juve’s offer, however it’s now being reported that Sancho is open to a wage cut to make the move happen.
