Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho looks to be edging ever closer to a permanent exit from Old Trafford.

Sancho, who told United late last week he does not wish to play for the club under Ruben Amorim, last featured for United in the Community Shield back in October 2024.

Having not played a single minute under Amorim, United are open to selling Sancho in order to help utilise the funds to buy new players, with the club continuing to work on a deal for top target Bryan Mbeumo after two rejected bids.

Sancho's time on loan at Chelsea ended with silverware as he scored in the UEFA Conference League final, but the Blues decided they did not wish to sign the winger on a permanent basis.

Enzo Maresca's men then paid £5m to cancel their obligation to buy the forward for £25m earlier this summer, and thus, the former Borussia Dortmund man is on the hunt for a new club.

Sancho is not set to return to Carrington on Monday as United's players check in for pre-season, with he and his representatives trying to facilitate a move elsewhere.

And it appears they may have found a buyer for the England international, with a new update suggesting his departure is fast approaching.

Football Italia expert Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the Serie A giants Juventus will pay €25m (£21.5m) to secure his services and that a deal is progressing.

Sancho is said to have now 'prioritised' a move to Italy, but there remains a gap in the offer and the player's demands, most likely down to wages. The report adds how the ex-Chelsea loanee is said to have received at least two more offers, but Juventus are his primary option.

The Manchester Evening News reported last month that Sancho is prepared to settle for a move to Italy, with Napoli also credited with an interest. He is out of contract at United next year and the club is seeking a fee similar to the one Chelsea originally agreed to pay.

Sancho has made just 83 appearances for United since his arrival in 2021, and having arriving for a fee of £73m, has failed to live up to expectations.

He scored 12 times for United and infamously fell out with former manager Erik ten Hag after being dropped from the matchday squad against Arsenal in 2023.
