Arsenal appreciate Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, but nothing will happen before the end of the Club World Cup, while talks will continue for Chelsea's Noni Madueke, according to Fabrizio Romano, writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter.
It's been a busy start to the summer transfer window for the Gunners, with Kepa Arrizabalaga the first player to officially join the club from London rivals Chelsea. On Sunday, the signing of Martin Zubimendi was confirmed, with the Spanish midfielder making the move to England from Spanish side Real Sociedad.
Attention will now likely turn to bringing in reinforcements in the final third after a disappointing 2024/2025 campaign from an attacking perspective. In the Premier League last term, no Arsenal player reached double figures for goals, which could be a concern for Mikel Arteta and his team.

Alongside bringing in a new winger, Arteta and his recruitment team are pushing to bring in a new centre-forward, after they were forced to play Mikel Merino in a striker role at times last season. Romano recently confirmed that Arsenal are advancing in talks to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, with a move for the Swedish international getting closer.
Reports later emerged from The Athletic's David Ornstein that Gyokeres has agreed a five-year deal with the Gunners, and talks are ongoing between the two clubs as Arsenal look to agree a fee with the Portuguese outfit.
