Mohammed Kudus looks set to leave West Ham this summer.

London rivals Tottenham are reportedly in discussions with the Hammers over a deal that would see the Ghanaian swap East London for North.

Although an initial bid, thought to be worth around £50million, was rejected, the clubs remain in contact in the hopes of reaching an agreement.

Kudus’ departure will net a tidy profit for West Ham, after they signed the forward for around £35m from Ajax in 2023.

Kudus wowed fans of the Hammers upon his arrival, showcasing incredible pace and skill every week.

The forward ended the season with 18 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, sparking excitement among the fanbase.

As West Ham’s troubles mounted on and off the pitch last season, however, Kudus’ form suffered.

The Ghanaian could not replicate even half of the numbers he had produced in the previous season, and West Ham now seem willing to cash in.

But should a deal be agreed with Spurs, the replacement targeted by West Ham may produce even more excitement at The London Stadium.

Lookman was brilliant for Atalanta last season

According to Sky Sports (July 7), West Ham are interested in a move for Atalanta winger, Lookman.

The Nigerian has decided that he wants to leave Serie A, and is targeting a return to the Premier League.

Atletico Madrid are also interested in a move for the 27-year-old, but Lookman hopes to return to London this summer.

Atalanta are looking for around £52m, a fee West Ham could pay should Kudus’ departure be finalised.

Lookman would arrive with a point to prove

Lookman’s career began in London with Charlton, before the teenager was signed by Everton.

But it was there where the winger’s career looked to be stalling.

Successive loans were proving unsuccessful, and an attempted penalty chip for Fulham against West Ham went viral when it rolled timidly into Lukasz Fabianski’s gloves.

Atalanta offered Lookman a different route, and it was in Serie A that he came alive.

15 goals and eight assists in his first season, before 17 goals and 10 assists in his second, including a stunning hat-trick in the Europa League final as Atalanta beat the unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen.

A return to London with West Ham would give Lookman the chance to prove that he can do it in England, and the Hammers only stand to profit.
