Neil El Aynaoui is the latest player to be linked with a move to Leeds United.
Leeds‘ strategy has been evident so far this summer, and it seems as though they are going through their squad in stages to ensure they are prepared for the Premier League campaign.
Gabriel Gudmundsson looks set to join the Whites, who have already strengthened their defence with the signings of Jaka Bijol and Sebastian Bornauw.
Now, it seems as though they have turned their attention to midfield targets, and RC Lens midfielder El Aynaoui is a player they admire.

Roma ready to battle for El Aynaoui transfer
Leeds and Sunderland seemed to have somewhat of a transfer rivalry earlier in the window, and there now looks to be one forming with Roma.

Both sides have already been linked with a move for Nikola Krstovic, and now, according to a report from Foot Mercato (7July), both sides are now keen on a deal for Lens midfielder El Aynaoui.

The 24-year-old has thrived in Ligue 1, attracting interest from around the globe, though Roma are now said to have made a £17.2million bid for his signing.
With Leeds seemingly still keen on Krstovic, the Whites could look to go all in over the next few days, in an attempt to beat the Italian giants to both signatures.

Come the end of the window, rumours that fell through mean very little, but as of right now, the fact that Leeds are looking into deals for players who are wanted by some European powerhouses showcases that they are looking in the right places.
The Whites still have a lot of work to do this summer, though progress is certainly being made on the recruitment front at Elland Road.
