Wolves might have just been handed a boost in their pursuit to sign one of their transfer targets.
The 2025 summer transfer window has seen a lot of change happen at Wolves, but not necessarily as fans would’ve expected.
Wolves signed Fer Lopez to kick off their summer business, with exits the main talking point, bidding farewell to Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Pablo Sarabia and Carlos Forbs.
Aside from incomings and outgoings in Vitor Pereira’s squad, there has been a mass change at the top, with Matt Hobbs’ sporting director role axed, seeing the Englishman leave.
Wolves fans just want to see signings, and the latest development in the transfer world could deliver just that.

Wolves target Christopher Wooh puts transfer on hold amid interest
Though the Old Gold were involved in a relegation battle last season, that doesn’t diminish the status the club have on the transfer front.
Players dream of playing in the Premier League, which is the case for Wolves target Christopher Wooh, who would favour a move to England.
Wolves have been linked to Wooh for some time, and now, the Old Gold could take a considerable step closer to signing the centre-back.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
According to Africa Foot, Wooh has put a transfer to Trabzonspor ‘on hold’, despite reaching an agreement over a transfer in the region of £4m.
That’s because the player is aware of how closely he’s being ‘monitored’ by Wolves, as his desire is firmly on signing for a club in Europe’s top five leagues.
Africa Foot’s report also suggests that Wolves are in the driving seat of signing Wooh, saying that the West Midlands club ‘seem to be making good progress’.
Bundesliga side Stuttgart are also interested, with the proposed move to Trabzonspor now appearing to be drifting away.

Wooh is a ‘Rolls-Royce’ defender
Wolves could land Wooh for a slim price this summer, a deal that the Old Gold must push to complete, given their recent luck when signing defenders from France.
The January signing of Emmanuel Agbadou was a huge success for Wolves, capturing the centre-back from Stade Reims.
Now, the West Midlands side could strike the French market again, this time with Wooh, who has earned high praise for his development.
In 2022, while Wooh was at RC Lens, scout Antonio Mango was extremely complimentary of the player’s profile, describing him as a ‘Rolls-Royce’.
“You’ll often see Wooh maraud forward with the ball if a pass option is not available; he’s such a Rolls-Royce of a centre back,” Mango said.
It could be an exciting signing for Wolves, who will be eager to recruit a top-quality defender this summer amid Nasser Djiga’s link to a loan exit.
