Author’s Opinion
Kepa’s arrival at Arsenal is a bold move and a show of strategic intentions. Although he was inconsistent at Chelsea, nobody can doubt his talent and potential. Also, he had a good season during his loan at Real Madrid where he showed signs of Maturity and confidence.
At Arsenal, Mikel Arteta would be looking at him not just as a backup. He will be getting chances to make his place in the first team. For the Gunner’s, Kepa’s Strength will be a key asset. Kepa is a ball playing goalkeeper and can help build attacks from the back. Also, in a team like Arsenal he can fit perfectly. However, it would be interesting to see his battle for Position with David Raya. Moreover, this deal is a smart business by the gunners as they have got an International and Champions League Experienced Goalkeeper for just £5 million.
It would be important to see how his tenure at Arsenal goes. Will he become a starter? Will Arteta rely on Kepa’s Experience in Champions League?
