The wages Juventus are willing to pay to Jadon Sancho as first offer made to Man Utd star

Manchester United are finally making progress in the sale of Jadon Sancho with Juventus in pole position to strike a deal.

Jadon Sancho’s move to Chelsea collapsed this summer, with the Blues paying a £5 million penalty fee to reject the 25-year-old after he refused to accept a significant wage cut.

As a result, the responsibility fell to Ineos to help find Jadon Sancho a new home after he burned bridges on his way out of Manchester United.

Despite reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign Sancho at Besiktas, it is Italian giants Juventus who are most advanced in their interest in the English winger.

Juventus have been in contact with Sancho to discuss personal terms, with United sticking to their £25 million asking price.

Juventus submit wage offer to Jadon Sancho

Sancho currently earns £325,000 per week at United, which has made it incredibly difficult for the Red Devils to offload him this summer, especially with the player refusing to take a significant hit to his salary.

While Juventus are willing to meet United’s asking price for Sancho, the Italian club have made it clear that he would have to drop his pay to strike a deal.

According to transfer journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Juventus have agreed a fee with United, but talks are still ongoing with Sancho over his contract.

Juventus started by making a contract offer worth €5 million, which equates to around £83,000 per week.

With Sancho’s team not agreeing to that offer, Juventus are now willing to increase their salary offer. But it still represents a major slash on his current United deal.

Jadon Sancho should be the first of five Man United sales

Monday marked the beginning of United’s pre-season training, and Ruben Amorim has made some bold calls about who will take part.

Sancho is one of five players who won’t return for pre-season training as work continues to try and offload them this summer.

It seems that Sancho could be the first to head for the exit with Juventus making progress on a deal. Amorim will hope that the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia follow quickly behind.

Talks are still ongoing for Bryan Mbeumo but United will struggle to afford any further signings without sales.

Money raised from Sancho and others should help to finally kickstart United’s window.
