Notre Dame is slated to be a football powerhouse over the next few years, especially if their newest recruits pan out as well as most people believe they will.
A college with this level of prestige seems to attract top talent anyway, but several of their upcoming players share a common bond.
Several future Notre Dame players have fathers who played in the NFL, seemingly giving them a leg up on their competition and their teammates.
Having that familial experience is something that can’t be taught, and while having great genes doesn’t always translate to instant success on the gridiron, it doesn’t hurt.
Jermichael Finley’s son and Larry Fitzgerald’s son are two of the latest upcoming members of the Fighting Irish, and both fathers were extremely proud.
Fitzgerald wrote a lengthy post about his son Devon on X, showcasing how excited he is to watch him grow and develop, both as a person and as an athlete.
.@devinfitz118, I’m so proud of the young man you’re becoming. Watching you grow, learn, and find your way has truly been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

It remains to be seen how these legacy athletes will compare to their peers, but the world will certainly be watching to see how they pan out.
Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, has had his career examined under a microscope to this point, and the same will likely be said about these Notre Dame prospects, especially if they make it to the league.
