According to BILD on July 7 (KST), Liverpool winger Luis Díaz has verbally agreed to join Bayern Munich, fending off competition from Barcelona for the high-profile summer transfer. The German outlet reported, “Díaz has been a strong candidate for a summer move, with both Barcelona and Bayern making offers. Liverpool didn’t want to lose him, as he tallied 17 goals and 8 assists across all competitions this season.”

Despite growing speculation, Díaz told Colombian broadcaster Win Sports, “Nothing is finalized yet. I’m still in discussions with the club’s management. I’m happy where I am now, but we’ll see what happens.”
Since his 2022 arrival from FC Porto, Díaz has amassed 41 goals and 23 assists in 148 matches for Liverpool. Under Arne Slot, he’s even experimented with a central forward role, contributing significantly to Liverpool’s recent campaigns.
