Nottingham Forest are busy working on transfer deals behind the scenes, with the new Premier League season around six weeks away.
The Reds face Brentford at home in the opening weekend of the campaign and Nuno Espirito Santo will want his squad to be on point for that game.
Anthony Elanga is being linked with Newcastle and it’s very important that the Forest squad is considerably stronger going into this season than it was during 2024/25.
Forest have the UEFA Conference League to look forward to in the coming months and the squad was boosted on Monday as Ola Aina signed a new contract.
Some players will leave the club this summer and that is only natural as Espirito Santo looks to make some changes ahead of the new campaign.

Fabrizio Romano provides update on Forest winger Ramon Sosa
According to the transfer guru, Sosa looks set to leave Forest this summer, with the famous ‘here we go’ being used by the journalist.
Sosa has never really got going on Trentside and didn’t completely have the backing of Espirito Santo, who started him just once in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old winger was pretty useful in the FA Cup campaign and scored in games against Luton in round three and Exeter in round four.

Forest have to replace Sosa
It’s fine to let Sosa leave Forest, given that he’s hardly considered a youngster, but he will need replacing with wingers in short supply at Forest.
With that in mind, reinforcements in the wide areas are going to be needed and with Jota Silva linked with Besiktas, the need for new ones is pretty urgent.
Sosa hasn’t really ever shown anything to suggest he could play regular football in the Premier League and moving to Brazil looks like a good move for all parties.
Sosa tried hard when called upon, but now it’s clear that Forest will go in a different direction and it will be fascinating to see who is identified as his replacement.
