Viktor Gyokeres has offered to forego a substantial amount of his proposed salary in order to help force through a move from Sporting to ARSENAL, according to reports in Portugal.
Now Arsenal have been linked with Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres for a couple of seasons, but their massive wages and massive transfer fee meant that a move to the Premier League has not yet happened.
ARSENAL have been linked with adding a new striker to that attack for the last few summer windows, but this transfer window, Mikel Arteta was expected to land a forward that will send a real statement of intent to the rest of the Premier League
And now it seems that they are closing in on the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, who scored 43 goals in 50 appearances in his first season with Sporting and then improved on that in his second campaign, netting 54 times in 52 outings.
Portuguese publication Record report that Arsenal’s latest bid for Gyokeres is worth €65m (£56.2m) with another €15m (£13m) in add-ons. The report also states that Gyokeres is open to giving up €2million (£1.73m) of the contract he has agreed with Arsenal, if it would help force through the move.
The forward has agreed a five-year contract with the north London club, but is happy to take less money than has been agreed on, such is his desire to make the switch.

Gyokeres is one of the most dominant strikers in Europes, he has proven himself to be very capable of scoring goals against the very best of defenders in the Champions League, he is ready for this move to ARSENAL.
If the Gunners can get 30 goals out of the player next season, it will give them more of a chance of winning that Premier League title. And with the signings Arsenal have been making this summer, Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea will be worried.
