Man Utd handed major blow as transfer 'on stand-by' to scupper Ruben Amorim's plans

Rasmus Hojlund could scupper Manchester United’s transfer plans this summer, with the striker keen to remain at the club. The forward has been heavily linked with a return to the Serie A in recent weeks, with Inter Milan particularly keen to secure his signature.

Ruben Amorim has made it his mission to shake up his attacking ranks ahead of next season, with several signings eyed in the final third. The Red Devils have already welcomed the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and they remain locked in talks with Brentford over a deal for Bryan Mbeumo.

United are also in the market for a new striker, though those plans may have to be put on pause. The arrival of a new No. 9 was expected to be to replace Hojlund, who has struggled since joining the Red Devils from Atalanta in a deal worth £72m.

However, Fabrizio Romano reports that the striker ‘doesn’t want to leave’ United this summer and he has made his desire to stay at the club clear.
