Arsenal have been strongly linked with Rodrygo, who has also attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, including Liverpool. Man City have reportedly also joined in the race to sign Rodrygo.
Liverpool’s earlier move for Florian Wirtz seemed to cool their interest, but the latest developments could bring them back into the mix, giving Arsenal a real reason to act swiftly.

Luis Diaz has agreed a deal with Bayern Munich
The latest news emerging from Germany today is that Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has agreed a deal in principle with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
TBR Football reported that Diaz is growing increasingly frustrated with Liverpool due to his contract situation, as the player seeks a new deal with better wages.
According to German outlet BILD, Diaz has informed Bayern Munich that he wants to move to the Bundesliga this summer. Bayern have also made Diaz their top target after missing out on Nico Williams and the injury to Jamal Musiala.
Barcelona are also strongly interested as reported by Fabrizio Romano earlier today, who also see him as a top target.
Liverpool informed both Bayern and Barcelona that he is not for sale last week, but with Diaz now keen on a move away, it remains to be seen if their stance regarding his sale would change.
Arsenal should now act fast on Rodrygo amid potential Liverpool threat
Rodrygo is Mikel Arteta’s ‘dream’ target. There has been strong interest from them, with the Gunners even holding talks with Rodrygo’s representatives regarding a potential move this summer.
However, they will need to be wary of the developments around Diaz as it could see them potentially lose Rodrygo to Liverpool.
The Reds are expected to recoup a fee close to £70m if they are to sell Diaz. While they still have Cody Gakpo at left wing, Liverpool could potentially move in to sign a replacement for the Colombian.
The Reds cooled their interest in Rodrygo after signing Wirtz, but Diaz’s sale could potentially reignite their interest.
The Brazilian is expected to cost around £78m, which would mean that the potential sale of Diaz could automatically fund a move for Rodrygo.
Rodrygo offers versatility, capable of playing across the front three as well as in midfield as an attacking midfielder.
